I am a 28 year old designer currently working at The Times and The Sunday Times in London. I work across design on both print and digital publications, and am currently the youngest design editor on the News team. I was the sole designer on the Women’s Euro 2022 The Game supplement; a first of its kind for a women’s tournament (and then consequently for the Women’s World Cup 2023).
My work on the Times Olympics supplement in Summer 2024, and our Autumn Times Earth supplement won the top awards in their categories in the 2025 European Newspaper Design Awards - a particularly proud moment for me and my career.
As well as editorial design, I work as a freelance designer for Aduro Communications, who now have a host of well known clients including Hartley's, Kickers, WholeFoods Market and Cheese Strings. Most recently, I was given the opportunity to implement a full brand redesign, including a completely new logo and brand identity to mark 10 years of them as a brand.
Before The Times I spent my first few professional years based at Future PLC (previously Ti Media) working on various weekly and monthly magazine titles. These included Woman and Home, Living etc, Homes and Gardens, Ideal Home, Women's Own and Women's Weekly.
As of January 2021 I was the sole designer on the monthly special of Woman magazine. My role on this title evolved into 'Art Editor' and I designed every element from the cover to the back page, including e-seller editions, promotions and adverts for each issue. I played an integral role in the redesign of the special series in August 2021, bringing the design and feel in line with the Woman main magazine. I also worked on external client projects including promotional material for events.
Over my 4 years at the company I was lucky enough to expand my skills outside of the digital realm and gain experience in Art Direction for Style at Home photoshoots, which was particularly fun in the run up to 'the big' Christmas issue.
I am an Adobe Certified Associate. This is a coveted award that displays a high level of skill across Adobe platforms. Whilst at university I took exams and achieved awards for the following;
- Graphic design and illustration using Adobe Illustrator
- Print and digital publishing using Adobe InDesign
- Visual communication using Adobe Photoshop
I have also recently begun exploring the basics of UX and UI design, and have completed the 'Introduction to UX and Accessible Design' online course provided by UAL.
